MotorSport Vision (MSV) is the UK's leading race circuit operator, with several related motorsport businesses. MSV's circuits host a number of European and national race series including GT World Challenge, World Superbikes, British Touring Cars and the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

A great opportunity has arisen for a versatile and hardworking Mechanic to join the MotorSport Vision team at our Oulton Park circuit. This role will involve working within the Engineering department, maintaining our fleet of Safety, Course and Medical cars, Single Seater race cars, 4x4's and Toyota GT86s as well as a whole host of site maintenance and site vehicles to ensure we deliver market leading retail and corporate motor racing events.

Jobs duties will include:

• Conducting thorough inspections of our high-performance vehicles on the completion of our corporate and retail events
• Working with our Engineering team to determine the source of machinery problems and work to solve issues efficiently. This may include engine rebuilds on Light Commercial Vehicles.
• Completing job cards to a very high standard to detail a vehicle repair and service history
• Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor with diagnosis and parts required to rectify
• Completing diagnostic testing on the mechanical and electrical systems
• Completing Pre MOT checks
• Working within the Engineering department to help deliver promoted motorsport events like the British Touring Car Championship and British Superbikes

You will be / have:

• A good understanding of mechanical engineering with a recognised qualification i.e. City and Guilds
• Previous experience working within either a main dealer or busy independent garage
• Tyre fitting experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Pride in your work and want to complete tasks to the best of your ability
• A track record of meeting strict deadlines

Due to the nature of this role, there will be an expectation to work a number of weekends throughout our race season (March – November). This role is offered on a permanent 42.5 hour a week contract.
